Welcome Rock Nation Fans, Parents, Supporters, Visitors, and Community to the 2026 Football Season! Coming off back-to-back playoff appearances, the energy and momentum in our program have never been higher. As we step into the excitement of a new district, we continue to grow stronger by leaning on our school’s core values—ICSEEU and LEO—along with our three core pillars: Accountability, Toughness, and Love. Most importantly, we continue to build a foundation rooted in program, school, and community unity.
Our program values revolve around the Prosper ISD Athletic Mission Statement: “Athletics is an extension of the educational setting at all times.” We provide foundational life lessons through athletics while developing our student-athletes into young men of exceptional character. We expect our teams to play Fast, Physical, and Relentless football every time we step between the lines, using this blueprint to mold our athletes so they win both on the field and in life as outstanding husbands, fathers, and future leaders.
Our teams and coaches have had an outstanding Offseason, Spring, and Summer leading up to this season. All of our athletes have done a tremendous job buying into our motto of LEO—It’s not about me, it is about the person next to me. Extraordinary things happen when no one cares who gets credit, and I could not be prouder of the unselfish mindset our team has shown over the past six months as we prepare for this new district challenge.
Thank you to our seniors, who have poured into this program over the last four years and helped set the foundation for our back-to-back playoff runs. You continue to raise the bar and leave a proud legacy at Rock Hill High School. Our football coaching staff are truly the men responsible for setting our wheels into motion—thank you to each member of what is genuinely the greatest staff in Texas. Thank you as well to our training staff, who are the absolute best in the state. A loving thank you to my wife, Jonith, who has stood by my side throughout this journey and is the definition of a great coach’s wife. To my son, Brady, and my daughter, Brynlee, thank you for being all in. I love you.
A special thank you to Prosper ISD Acting Superintendent Mr. Bill McLaughlin, Executive Director of Student Engagement Valerie Little. Athletic Director Jeff Smith, Assistant Athletic Director Kyle Lintelman, Assistant Athletic Directors Terrenee Knight and Kristyn Shelton, and the Prosper ISD Board of Trustees for their leadership and undying support of both academic and extracurricular opportunities for all students in Prosper ISD.
Last, but certainly not least, thank you to our Rock Hill Administration for all of their support, including Rock Hill High School Principal Mr. Terry Mouton and our entire Assistant Principal team. Our teachers go above and beyond every day to help all students exceed the high academic and athletic standards set here at Rock Hill High School. A very special thank you goes out to our Band, Color Guard, Rockettes, Cheerleaders, STUCO, Yell Leaders, Rock Hill Media, and the best fans and student section in the state of Texas! All your efforts make Friday Nights at Children’s Health Stadium the greatest place to be.

Coach Wilkinson enters his 24th year of coaching and his fifth season as the Head Football Coach at Rock Hill. His extensive experience includes a previous role as Defensive Coordinator at Sherman High School, with earlier coaching stops at Keller Fossil Ridge, Callisburg, and Birdville.
A 2004 graduate of the University of North Texas (B.A. History, Minor Secondary Education), Wilkinson is married to Jonith (23 years) and they have two children, Brady (16) and Brynlee (13)

Rhana Ramos
Director of Football Operations
This year marks my 21st in education as both a teacher and coach. I am entering my 4th year at Rock Hill as the Team Officials teacher, Head Golf Coach, and Director of Football Operations.
Previously at Rock Hill, I spent three years as the Varsity Assistant in the Softball program, where we made deep playoff runs, State appearances, and created unforgettable experiences. Before coming to Rock Hill, I served in various districts in the metroplex.
Each of these opportunities gave me the chance to teach a range of Science subjects and work alongside administrators in diverse environments and communities. These experiences shaped my perspective and helped mold me into the educator and coach I am today.
I am passionate about coaching and making a meaningful impact on those around me while remaining committed to lifelong learning. I believe the best coaches not only teach and lead but also continue to grow by learning from their athletes, colleagues, and every experience along the way. I absolutely cherish watching my daughter grow into the person she wants to become. As a family, we love spending time outdoors, embracing all sports, and sharing life with our friends.
Joshua Davenport

Associate Head Coach
Coach Joshua Davenport is entering his 22nd year in coaching and brings a wealth of experience, energy, and leadership to Rock Hill High School. In his first year with the BlueHawks, Coach Davenport serves as the Quarterbacks Coach and Offensive Coordinator, while also teaching in the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department.
Throughout his two-decade career, Coach Davenport has made a significant impact at several Texas programs, including Prosper Walnut Grove, Cedar Hill, Fort Worth Southwest, Frisco Independence, and West Mesquite. Known for his high-energy coaching style and passion for people, he has helped develop competitive athletes and dynamic offensive units everywhere he has coached.
Coach Davenport’s philosophy centers around building relationships, developing character, and empowering student-athletes to grow both on and off the field. He is driven by a deep belief in the power of sports to shape lives and instill values like discipline, teamwork, and perseverance.
Off the field, Coach Davenport is a proud husband to his wife Camille, and together they are blessed to raise their two children, Faith and Jeremiah. He is excited to be a part of the Rock Hill BlueHawk family and is committed to contributing to a culture of excellence, integrity, and growth.

Brian Smith

As I begin my 19th year in education, I continue to be passionate about developing young minds and athletes. Currently in my fourth year at Rock Hill High School, I serve as the Head Boys Track and Field Coach while also contributing as an assistant football coach. My dual role allows me to mentor student-athletes year-round, helping them achieve excellence both on the track and on the field.
Beyond the classroom and athletic programs, I am a devoted family man. I am married to my wonderful wife Chelsea, and together we are raising three amazing children: Jeremiah (7), Lydia (5), and Naomi (2). My family provides the foundation and motivation that drives my commitment to education and youth development.
Throughout my career in education, I have remained dedicated to fostering growth, discipline, and character in every student I encounter. Whether I'm coaching athletes to personal bests or supporting the football program's goals, I believe in the power of sports to teach life lessons that extend far beyond the playing field.
Collin Avery

I am a graduate of Refugio High School in Refugio, Texas. East Central University-Oklahoma offered me a football scholarship, where I played for 2 years. I earned my Bachelor’s of Science degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio. This is my first year teaching and coaching at Rock Hill and 8th year in education. I teach anatomy and physiology. I coach safeties in football and wrestling for the Blue Hawks.
Outside of school, I'm a proud parent to my two-year-old son, Bishop, who keeps me inspired every day. I am truly overjoyed to be a part of Prosper Independent School District and look forward to building lasting bonds with the faculty, community, and especially the students at Rock Hill High School.

Rashad Jones
Wide Receivers
Coach Jones enters his 11th year in education and coaching and his second year at Rock Hill High School. Before joining the Rock Hill staff, he served as the wide receivers coach at Braswell High School. His coaching career has also included stops at West Memphis High School in Arkansas and Pine Tree High School in Longview, Texas. A graduate of Little Elm High School, Coach Jones continued his education at University of Central Arkansas, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education. He later received a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. Coach Jones is passionate about developing student-athletes both on and off the field. He and his wife, Justise, are proud parents to their daughter, Journi (3).
Trey Lewis

Coach Lewis is entering his 17th year of teaching & coaching and first here at Rock Hill where he will coach the cornerbacks. Coach Lewis served as the Defensive Coordinator at Tyler High School prior to coming to Rock Hill. Other stops for Coach Lewis was Wylie High School where he coached the secondary & served as the Special Team Coordinator, and Barbers Hill High School coaching Outside Linebackers & Secondary. Coach Lewis graduated from Southern Arkansas University, where he also was a 4 year letterman that played cornerback. He also received his Master’s Degree from East Texas A&M. Outside of coaching, he enjoys spending time with his family & friends, working out, and grilling/cooking.
Stephen King

Head 9th grade
Coach King is a husband and father of two. He is entering his 7th year of coaching and 8th year of teaching. He is a veteran, having served eight years in the Marine Corps. He has previous experience coaching cross-country, soccer, football, track and basketball. This year, he will be the head freshmen football coach. He is proud to be a part of the Rock Hill family.
Layne Scott

Head JV Coach
Coach Scott is beginning his first year at Rock Hill and his 18th year teaching and coaching. He began his career in Corsicana and has also coached in Mildred, Copperas Cove, and most recently, Denton Braswell. At Rock Hill, he is an assistant football and baseball coach. Coach Scott was born and raised in Snyder, Texas, and earned his bachelor’s degree from Angelo State University.
Coach Scott joins his wife, Lauren, in Prosper ISD, where she is a 4th grade teacher at Boyer Elementary. They have been married for four years and enjoy spending time together listening to live music and traveling.
Tyler Bailey
Defensive Line
Coach Bailey is from Lexington, Kentucky, where he graduated from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in 2005. He played both football and baseball in high school. He attended the University of North Texas on a football scholarship from 2005-2009, where he played on the offensive line and started for 3 seasons. After college, Coach Bailey accepted his first coaching job in New Orleans, LA at O Perry Walker High School, and coached the offensive line from 2010-2012. From 2013-2015 Coach Bailey was a Graduate Assistant at UTEP working with the offensive line. In 2016 he spent the year at Anthony High School coaching running backs. From 2017-2020 Coach Bailey was the run game coordinator and offensive line coach at Hebron High School. While at Hebron, he also coached Freshman/JV baseball for all 4 years. From 2020 to 2022, Coach Bailey was the Offensive Coordinator at Irving MacArthur High School. This will be Coach Bailey's 3rd year at Rock Hill High School, and he will be coaching the defensive line this season. Coach Bailey has a wife, Krystal, and they have been married for 11 years. They have two boys. Champ who is 9 years old and Roogi who is 5 years old . Interesting side note, Coach Bailey was born in Misawa, Japan and lived there for the first 8 years of his childhood.
Jesse Johnson

Coach Jesse Johnson is starting his 4th year (3rd year as DC) at Rock Hill and his 19th year coaching High School Football. Prior to coming to Rock Hill, Coach Johnson was Co-Defensive Coordinator at Hebron High School and had stops at Lampasas High School as Defensive Coordinator and Lewisville High School as secondary coach and special team’s coordinator. Coach Johnson graduated from Midwestern State University were he played safety. He has been married for 14 years to his wife Lindsay and they have 3 children; Aubrey (10), Landry (7) and Mackenzie (5).

Gavin Mercer

Howdy! My name is Gavin Mercer, I graduated from Texas A&M in 2021. This year, I’ll be an assistant Strength & Conditioning coach as well as an assistant Receivers coach. This year our talent is undeniable and the entire team is coming with a hunger to go farther in the playoffs than ever before. Rock Hill, Rock Solid!
Bryce Morgan
Running Backs/Special Teams Coordinator
Coach Morgan was born and raised in Baytown Texas. After graduating from Goose Creek Memorial he attended Louisiana College to play collegiate golf. After one year he transferred to Texas State University graduating with the class of 2018. This is his second year at Rock Hill High School where he will be coaching JV Football as well as Varsity RBs and Special Teams Coordinator.
Prior to coming to Prosper ISD he spent 5 years coaching in Tarkington ISD. 5 years ago coach moved to the North Dallas Area and began working at Rushing Middle School eventually landing at his current role at Rock Hill High School Where he has been for going on 3 years.

Hello, Rock Hill High School football athletes and families! My name is Coach David Wright, and I am excited to join the Rock Hill High School coaching staff this season.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a minor in History from the University of North Texas and my master’s degree in Sport Management from the University of Texas at Austin. This year marks my ninth year in education and coaching, and I look forward to bringing my passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the field to Rock Hill.
On a personal note, I have been with my wife, Elizabeth, for seven years. She is also an educator and currently teaches at McKinney North High School, so education has always been a big part of our lives. I’m grateful to share that passion with someone who understands the importance of the work we do for our students and athletes.
I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Rock Hill family and can’t wait to get started. I’m looking forward to a great football season, building strong relationships with our athletes and their families, and helping create something special at Rock Hill.
